Common Yarrow

Loose clumps. Aromatic fern-like leaves. Leaves pinnately divided, alternate, hairy; stem leaves clasping, size diminishing at top. Inflorescence is flat-topped cluster of many flower heads. Ray flowers usually 5, disk flowers 10–30, both are same color or contrasting white, pink, purple. Grows in wet to dry soil in meadows, open places, in all elevations.
