Heartleaf Arnica

Erect, glandular, hairy. Stems 1 or few, usually unbranched. Leaves 2–4 pairs, heart-shaped; lower leaves shallowly toothed. Flower heads of 10–15 ray flowers with pointed tips surrounding disk with long soft hairs. Grows in light shade cast by trees or rocks at mid to high elevations in mountains.
