Thread-Leaved Locoweed
Clump. Stems slender. Leaves 1–5 in. long, scale-like appendage at base fused around stem into papery sheath; leaflets 5–23, to 1 in. long, well separated, narrow to thread-like, with rounded to notched tip. Flower stalks above leaves. Flowers 4–30, well spaced on stalk, lax to reflexed; petals open dull white, fade to pale yellow. Pods pendulous, about 1 in. long, straight, flat. Grows in dry open areas in sagebrush or pine, mostly in western part of steppe at mid elevations.
