Farewell-To-Spring

Stem erect to decumbent, branched or unbranched. Leaves alternate, linear, 1–3 in. long, entire. Buds held erect. Flowers cup-shaped, pale pink to deep wine red, petals round to fan-shaped, often with red spot in center. Grows in seaside bluffs, open drying soils, at low to mid elevations. Amoena means "charming," an apt name for this plant.
