Stem erect, hairless to densely hairy. Leaves 1–2 1/2 in., linear. Flower buds hang down; open flowers pink or pinkish lavender, often lighter toward base; petals fan-shaped, without any spots or veins. Grows in open dry areas at low to mid elevations.
