Slender Cryptantha
Erect single-stemmed annual covered with coarse white hairs. Leaves very narrow, entire, mostly basal, with some scattered up the stem. Flowers tiny in small coils, partially covered by upward-curving hairs. Seeds usually 4 nutlets. Found throughout Pacific Northwest growing in dry places. Similar C. flaccida has only 1 nutlet per flower.
