Rayless Shaggy Fleabane
Densely matted. Stems covered in spreading, stiff hairs. Basal leaves 2–3 in., with varied petiole lengths, toothed, with stiff hairs; few stem leaves decreasing in size, sessile at top. Flower heads are large, rayless, bright yellow disks. Grows in dry hot places among sagebrush or juniper scrub at 4000–8500 ft.
