Columbia Cut Leaf

Tuft, densely hairy to hairless. Stems erect. Leaves oblong, divided into linear or thread-like leaflets, stiff hairs and sticky glands on upper sides. Basal leaves in rosette; stem leaves few, alternate. Flower heads few to many at top, often several per stem. Disk flowers 10–70, yellow or white, cup with sticky glands. Grows in dry places, sometimes on limestone. Flowers stay open in sunny or cloudy weather.
