White-Stemmed Stick-Leaf
Erect, with branches often in pairs. Stems shining white with short hairs. Leaves sessile, 1–4 in. long, oblong, with pointed tips; edges deeply lobed or comb-like or toothed to smooth. Flowers yellow, 1–3 in clusters at stem tops; petals 5–10, less than 1/2 in. long; stamens 15–25, shorter than petals. Grows in dry, often sandy to rocky soils, shrublands, woodlands, at low to high elevations.
