Tuft with erect flower stem, hairless. Leaves mostly basal, 4 in. long including petiole, divided pinnately with largest leaflet at tip of leaf. Leaflets wide, toothed. Stem leaves few, smaller. Flower heads in cluster atop stem; disk flowers yellow to orange; ray flowers more or less 6, yellow. Grows in rocky open places, talus slopes from foothills to tops of mountains.
