Plectritis congesta
Erect slender stems with clasping leaves. Leaves widely oval, with rounded or pointed tips. Inflorescence is a round cluster of pink to dark pink flowers at stem top. Flowers tubular, divided at opening to 5 same-colored unequal lobes with no spots, spur at back very short, slender with wider rounded tip, turned to inside of cluster. Grows in coastal bluffs or partly shaded spring-wet slopes from coastline to mid elevations. Often forms large showy patches.
