Stems erect, many with slender branches. Stems and leaves hairless. Leaves linear to lance-shaped; lower leaves pinnately divided; upper leaves entire. Flowers on short stalks in elongating racemes at stem tops. Flowers showy, with yellow petals about 1/3 in. long. Seedpods ascending, narrow, 1–2 in. long. Grows on dry rocky hills, cliffs.
