Northern Goldenrod
Clump of leafy stems. Lower leaves 2–5 in., linear to spoon-shaped, with long straight hairs on shallow-toothed edges, short hairy petioles. Upper leaves much smaller, clasping. Leaf tips often point upward. Flower cluster at top dense, with 1 or 2 flower heads lower on stem. Flower heads have about 13 short ray flowers, 13–26 disk flowers. Grows in subalpine meadows, alpine.
