Mexican Hedge Nettle
Erect stems from spreading roots. Stems square, with spreading hairs on edges. Leaves lance-shaped, opposite, with short petioles, 1–5 in. long, slightly hairy on both sides, toothed. Flowers atop stems and in leaf axils, light pink to lavender-pink, airy, stalkless, 1/2–3/4 in. long, with 2 lips open wide, the lower lip longer and wider than the upper. Grows in moist woods, edges of clearings near coast.
