Tall erect stems with a single flower. Leaves heart-shaped, with sharp tips, entire or toothed. Flower dark yellow with maroon veins on 3 lower petals. The 2 side petals are bearded; lowest petal is spurred. Streambanks, moist forests, from near coast to high elevations.
