Arum-Leaf Arrowhead

Aquatic with emersed, floating, or submersed leaves, long flower stems emerging from water. Emersed leaves 2–6 in. long, the 2 lower lobes shorter than the upper lobe. Bracts beneath inflorescence 1/3–1 1/4 in. long. Flowers up to 1 in. across and in whorls of 3. White petals are rounded. Female flowers with cluster of pistils are in bottom whorl, with shorter stalks than male flowers above with 15–25 stamens. Flower stalk elongates in seed. Grows in ponds, slow-moving water, at low to mid-elevations.
