Crowded basal rosette of leaves. Leaves 1–3 in. long, fleshy, linear and entire with rounded tip, tapering to base. Flower stems numerous, with large loose clusters of flowers with bracts. Petals 7–10, rose, pink, or white, with fine pink to red pencil markings, notched at the tip. Grows on rocky slopes, cliffs, at mid to high elevations.
