Bog Rosemary

Dense stands of erect stems from creeping roots. Leaves 1–2 in. long, narrow, dull green, with edges deeply rolled under, white on underside. Flowers hanging in 2–6 in. loose clusters, bell-shaped, wider at open end, in shades of pink or white. Grows in acid bogs. Circumpolar; southern British Columbia is southern limit of its range in the Northwest, although it grows farther south in eastern North America and in cultivation.
