Red Willowherb
Sprawling to upright plant up to 20 in. tall. Leaves 1–2 1/2 in. long, widely oval, alternate along stem, including among the flowers. Flowers rose, pink, or rarely white in short spike at top, 1–1 1/2 in. across. Petals 4, oval, narrow to pointed at tip; sepals 4, linear, same length as petals. Found in mountains on wet slopes, along streams, rivers.
