Crater Lake Cryptantha
Upright from woody base. Stems, leaves coated with bristly hairs, those on lower leaf surfaces with bulbous bases. Leaves narrow, clustered at base, few upward. Inflorescence narrow to head-like, dense with leaf-like bracts coated with white to yellow bristly hairs under tight coils of flowers. Flower white, the inside of tube yellow. Grows in pumice and sandy soils, ridges, at mid- to high elevations.
