Siskiyou Mountains Willowherb
Mats of numerous to few low-growing stems. Leaves thickened, blue-green, crowded on stem with very short petioles, oval, entire, 1 1/2 in. long, covered with white waxy powder. Flowers with short stalks clustered at stem tip; calyx deep rose; petals pink to rose, to 1 in. long, with deeply cleft tips. Bloom continues on extending stalk through autumn. Grows on rocky serpentine in moist to dry places, often along creeks, and in hot dry streambeds in Siskiyou Mountains, at low to mid elevations.
