Foothill Daisy

Erect stems with some leaves. Leaves and stems covered with short spreading hairs. Basal leaves to 10 in. long, narrow, with pointed tip; stem leaves reduced in size. Three veins run lengthwise on larger leaves. Flower heads 1–16 on each stem; rays 35–65, deep blue, possibly pink; disk yellow. Grows in open dry soils among sagebrush.
