Lomatium suksdorfii
Suksdorf's Desert Parsley
Erect, stout. Stems tall, hairless, from clustered old leaf sheaths. Leaves with long petioles, pinnately divided twice to linear sections 1 1/2 in. long with pointed tips. Flowers small, yellow, in 15 or more bracted clusters in flat, wide umbel. Grows in gravelly or rocky soils, open grasslands, at low to mid elevations. Lomatium dissectum is similar but its leaves are covered with tiny hairs and divided into smaller, finer leaflets with red-brown or yellow flowers.
