Plant ascending, hairy. Leaves bright green, 1–2 1/2 in. long, strongly toothed. Flowers yellow, about 1 in. across, noticeably 2-lipped, expanding out from rotund funnel-shaped tube. Grows along coastal streams, wet shady places, from coastline to 1300 ft.
