Erect stems with nodding flowers. Plant may or may not be hairy or have sticky glands. Leaves lance-shaped to round, sessile, becoming somewhat smaller near top. Flowers along stem and at top, white to greenish or pink, calyx enlarged and bell-shaped, petals divided into 4–6 lobes, each lobe divided into 6–8 linear sections. Grows in light forests, thickets, at low to mid-elevations.
