Sauk Mountain, Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie NF

Sauk Mountain is a premier wildflower destination near Rockport in Skagit County. A winding road takes you high, then 22 or so switchbacks on the trail take you through a superb avalanche chute meadow to the alpine ridge. Don't expect solitude because it's a popular place when the flowers are blooming.
